The locked out members at IG Machine and Fibers in Ashcroft have had to endure all sorts of obstacles in their many months on the line. If it was the sweltering desert heat in the summer, it was nearby wildfires. Now as winter approaches, the members are preparing themselves for the cold days ahead. With temperatures already reaching below zero, it was decided that they would need some way to stay warm. With funds from the generous support of locals throughout North America, a shelter and heater was purchased. The members took some time out of their day to erect the shelter. A portable washroom is to be delivered in the next few days to keep the members in somewhat comfort. Best wishes to our brothers and sisters on the line.
